Why MAD Track?

There are lots of athletics and track coaches in Sydney offering huge group sessions. You will improve to point, but not by running someone else’s race or session. We will ensure that the session is customised for you.

At MAD Track, we take on a limited number of athletes and tailor the session or program for each person. Because while anyone can download a generic training program from the web and hope it works, you’re pinning your goals on hope.

MADTrack doesn’t work with hope.

Join our squad sessions, where we’ll provide a group workout or you may get a modified session targeted at your ability & fitness level.

Casual sessions $15 pp. Monthly program via arrangement

Holiday sessions – Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

  Middle & Distance – Steeplechase & Race walking 

Online Programs – Fully structured online programs are available for all distances & events.

I can help.

 

I’m Brett Mathison, owner of MAD Track. I’m a Level 2 Intermediate Club Coach, Level 2 Advanced Coach (Middle & Long Distance), and Level 3 Specialist Middle/Long Distance Coach. I have over 30 years athletics experience, competing and coaching at state, national and international levels. And I’ve developed successful athletes at State and National levels. A combination of this competition experience, knowledge and passion with your attitude, effort and consistency working together we will achieve results and smash your goals!

 

I have coached numerous athletes in NSW teams, as well as students at Westfield Sports High School and juniors in the Sutherland Shire and Port Hacking Little Athletics.

 

I love diversity, I love catering for different levels, abilities and goals, and I love motivating.

 

Best of all, I love seeing results. It’s what drives me – and achieving those results will drive you, too.


I’ve competed at an elite level nationally, racing at multiple Australian Cross-Country Championships and Athletics Championships.

As a junior and senior athlete competing on the track, cross country and the road for 15 years, I’ve raced and won medals at the highest levels over middle and long distances. I’ve been through the training and the championship races. I know what it takes.

I have competed internationally at three World Championships placing top 10 at World Duathlon, World Olympic Distance, and World Long Course Triathlon.

And i’ve coached myself to a 9 hour 30 minute Ironman Australia finish.

​I’ve been coached and mentored by some of Australia’s leading coaches, and continually work with industry leaders to develop plans and processes that are proven and that work.

So whether you’re interested in formal competing or just want to work on fitness, strength and speed, I can help

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Multiple state medalists at all athletic meets in 400m, 800m, 1500m, steeplechase, race walk and cross country.

NATIONAL MEDALISTS, ON THE TRACK AND ROAD

Every member of the MAD Track squad has qualified for either Australian All Schools Athletics, Australian Junior Athletics, or the Australian Winter Road Walking Championships.
